The Labyrinth Project

The Labyrinth Project

Drawing on myth, mysticism, prayer, and ritual, Communion: The Labyrinth Project began at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts in October 2008 with a one-night only multimedia installation walked by more than 400 people.  The Labyrinth installation was a sculptural autobiography constructed from the artist Marilyn Freeman’s personal artifacts and integrated numerous channels of video and sonic art.  It was an offering inviting others to engage with the work in a meditative way.

Communion: The Labyrinth Project is an ongoing creative process of co-creating labyrinths withdifferent groups working with their respective life artifacts and meditative intentions.  If you are interested in having Marilyn work with a group to create a labyrinth contact her directly at marilyn@wovie.com.
